A motorcyclist was killed Wednesday morning in a crash involving pickup truck on the eastbound Riverside (91) Freeway in Anaheim Hills.
The accident was first reported about 1 a.m. and occurred near the Imperial Highway exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and landed in a middle lane of the freeway, the CHP said.
The force of the crash caused the motorcycle to break into two pieces, the CHP said.
The freeway was closed for more than two hours before it reopened about 3:25 a.m.
The name of the victim was not disclosed and the cause of the crash was under investigation.
