
Santiago Canyon Road reopened Monday, more than nine hours after two motorcycles collided, killing four people in the Modjeska Canyon area of Orange County.
The crash was near the intersection of Santiago Canyon and Modjeska Canyon roads about 4:35 p.m. Sunday, the California Highway Patrol said.

Two men and two women were killed, the Orange County Fire Authority said. Their names were withheld pending family notifications.
The crash involved two motorcycles, the OCFA reported.
Santiago Canyon Road was closed in both directions from Silverado Canyon to Hicks Haul Road, the OCFA reported. It was reopened at 1:50 a.m. TODAY, the CHP said.
The CHP was investigating the cause of the crash.
The CHP did not have immediate details on how the crash happened or on how many vehicles were involved, a CHP dispatcher said.
