The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped three-tenths of a cent Tuesday to $3.70 after being unchanged the previous two days.

The average price is 2 cents less than one week ago and 6.9 cents lower than one month ago, but 5.7 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.673 after being unchanged on Monday. It is 1.1 cents less than one week ago and 5.1 cents lower than one month ago, but 8.7 cents higher than one year ago.
