A crash involving a wrong-way driver on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway in Diamond Bar injured one person and prompted the closure of two lanes of the freeway for about 90 minutes.

The CHP began receiving calls of a wrong way driver going southbound in the northbound car pool lane of the freeway at 2:07 a.m. and three minutes later a witness reported the vehicle had crashed into the center divider near the Brea Canyon Road onramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The carpool and No.1 lane of the northbound Orange Freeway were closed for an investigation into the crash. Both lanes were reopened about 3:30 a.m., the CHP said.
