Orange County firefighters were working to contain a natural gas line fire near a gas station and strip mall in Aliso Viejo Tuesday.
The fire broke out about 4:30 p.m. in the 22000 block of Pacific Park Drive, said Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Paul Holaday. Authorities evacuated a neighboring gas station and strip mall, Holaday said.
Firefighters were working to contain the flames until gas company officials can turn off the gas, Holaday said.
A construction crew accidentally ruptured the gas line, Holaday said.
