A fire in some construction materials Wednesday prompted a closure of the San Diego (405) Freeway in both directions in the Fountain Valley area.
The fire was reported near Euclid Street at about 8:55 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters were sent to extinguish wood framing that caught fire, the CHP reported.
The fire was put out, and as of 9:45 a.m., all southbound lanes had reopened, along with the northbound carpool lane. The northbound No. 1 lane reopened about 10:20 a.m., but other northbound lanes remained closed.
