A Metrolink train en route to Los Angeles from Oceanside spent an hour at the San Juan Capistrano station due to what Metrolink termed “unruly passengers.”

According to the Metrolink schedule, OC Line 667 was due in the San Juan Capistrano station at 6:11 p.m.

Metrolink reported that the unruly passengers caused the train to be stopped at San Juan Capistrano 65-70 minutes. It reported at 7:27 pm. that the train was moving again.

Metrolink did not provide details, but the watch commander at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Transit Services Division said the initial call came in as two females who pulled the emergency cord and refused to leave the train.

A Metrolink spokeswoman was not immediately available for comment.
