A fire damaged a carport and several vehicles in an apartment complex in Tustin Thursday morning but was extinguished before it could spread to residential units.
Orange County Fire Authority crews responded to the Castilian Cordova Apartment Homes at 14300 Newport Avenue at 4:45 a.m. and discovered the fire was about to spread into the massive complex.
Video from the scene showed at least nine vehicles and the carport smoldering.
It was unclear what time a knockdown was called.
No injuries were immediately reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
