The Liam Neeson-starring action film “Honest Thief” kept its hold on the top spot at the North American box office this weekend with $2.3 million, according to industry estimates released Sunday.

“The War With Grandpa,” a family comedy starring Robert De Niro and Uma Thurman, also took second place for the second consecutive week with $1.8 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported.

Third place was also unchanged, with Christopher Nolan’s time-bending thriller “Tenet” making $1.3 million for a nine-week total of $52.5 million, and a worldwide total of $341.4 million.

In fourth place was the horror thriller “The Empty Man,” which debuted to $1.2 million.

A re-release of the 1993 Halloween classic “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was in fifth place with $577,000, followed by another holiday-themed re-release from 1993, “Hocus Pocus,” with $530,000.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases, as estimated by Comscore, were “Monsters Inc.” with $494,000, “After We Collided” ($420,000), “2 Hearts” ($320,000), and “The New Mutants” ($286,000).

Movie theaters in Los Angeles County remain closed indefinitely, but Orange County has reopened its theaters with limited capacity.
