A family of seven, including three children, was displaced Wednesday morning by a fire that tore through their Westminster home.

Firefighters responded at 1:49 a.m. to the 6200 block of Kiowa Road and found seven people who had escaped the burning house, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.

A knock down of the fire was called at about 2:15 a.m.

There was no working smoke alarm inside the home, the OCFA said.

The Red Cross was called in to assist the four adults and three children displaced by the fire.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
