The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County declined slightly Sunday after three consecutive increases, dropping one-tenth of a cent to $4.391.
The average price had risen 1.3 cents over the previous three days to its highest amount since Oct. 24, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 1 cent higher than one week ago, 4.7 cents more than one month ago and $1.19 greater than one year ago.
The Orange County average price also declined by one-tenth of a cent, to $4.361. It had also increased the previous three days to its highest amount since Oct. 24, 2012. It is 1.4 cents higher than one week ago, 5.6 cents more than one month ago and $1.17 greater than one year ago.
