Approximately 520 Imperial Irrigation District customers in Indio lost power Monday, but the lights were back on about 80 minutes later.
The utility sent an alert at 2:34 p.m. Monday advising the public of the outage and letting customers know that troubleshooters were en route to resolve the issue.
Crews responded to the area, and power was restored as of 3:50 p.m., according to IID social media posts.
The cause of the outage was unknown.
Anybody still without electricity was urged to check their main breakers or call 800-303-7756.
The IID serves electricity to more than 150,000 customers in parts of Riverside and San Diego counties, and all of Imperial County.
