The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Wednesday for the fourth consecutive day, decreasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.706.
This is the first time since Oct. 9-13, 2020, the average price has dropped for at least four consecutive days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The 2020 streak began with four decreases of one-tenth of a cent.
The average price dropped three-tenths of a cent Sunday and two-tenths of a cent on both Monday and Tuesday. It is unchanged from one week ago, 12.7 cents more than one week ago and $1.551 higher the one year ago.
The Orange County average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $4.678, one day after decreasing six-tenths of a cent, its largest daily decline since Oct. 11. It is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 14 cents higher than one month ago and $1.542 greater than one year ago.
