The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Monday, remaining at $4.683 for the second day in a row after three consecutive increases totaling 1 cent.
The average price is 1 cent more than one week ago and $1.448 higher than one year ago, but 1.3 cents less than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped 3.3 cents since hitting the record high of $4.716 on Nov. 27.
The Orange County average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $4.652, the sixth increase in seven days. It is 1.3 cents more than one week ago and $1.435 higher than one year ago, but 1.4 cents less than one month ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 3.7 cents since rising to $4.689 on Nov. 26, one-tenth of a cent less than the record set on Oct. 8, 2012.
