One person was killed Thursday in a collision in Diamond Bar.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol were called to the scene at approximately 1:07 a.m. to the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway and the northbound Orange (57) Freeway exchange, said CHP Officer Patrick Kimball. The transition road between the 60 and 57 Freeways was shut down for the death investigation.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The person’s name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The transition road between the two freeways was reopened around 7:20 a.m., according to the CHP.
Kimball said the cause of the collision is under investigation.
