A run of 18 increases in 21 days to the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County ended Monday with a decrease of one-tenth of a cent to $4.705.

The run was responsible for record highs the previous four days, breaking the record that had stood since Oct. 8, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The 2012 figure included stations in San Bernardino County.

The average price increased 11.3 cents during the run, including four-tenths of a cent Sunday. It is 3.3 cents more than one week ago, 10.4 cents higher than one month ago and $1.151 greater than one year ago.
