Two people were taken to a hospital from a fire in a second-story unit of a Lake Forest condominium unit, authorities said Monday.
The fire was reported at 8:25 p.m. Sunday in the 20700 block of El Toro Road, according to Orange County Fire Authority officials.
The flames were out in 16 minutes, officials said.
Firefighters rescued two residents who had trouble escaping due to falling debris and smoke, officials said. They were treated at the scene then taken to a hospital.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
