The average price of a gallon of self-serve gasoline in Los Angeles County rose eight-tenths of a cent Monday to $4.58, a day after increasing 2.6 cents.
The average price is 2.1 cents more than a week ago, 16.4 cents less than one month ago and 2 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the Automobile Club of Southern California.
The average price in Orange County rose seven-tenths of a cent to $4.51, a day after it increased 3.8 cents.
It is 4.8 cents more than one week ago, 13.8 cents less than one month ago and 2 cents more than one year ago.
The national average price rose four-tenths of a cent to $3.107. It is 3 cents more than one week ago, but 1.3 cents less than one month ago and 40.2 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.917 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
