The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose Wednesday to its highest amount since Nov. 10, increasing 2.1 cents to $5.184, rising for the 16th consecutive day and 19th time in 20 days.
The average price has risen 25.4 cents over the past 20 days, including 1.1 cents Tuesday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.
The average price is 12.5 cents more than a week ago, 28.5 cents higher than one month ago and 31.7 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.31 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price also rose for the 16th consecutive day and 19th time in 20 days, increasing 2.5 cents to $5.15, its highest amount since Nov. 1. It has increased 27.1 cents over the past 20 days, including 1 cent Tuesday. It rose three consecutive days, dropped one-tenth of a cent March 18 and resumed increasing March 19.
The Orange County average price is 13.4 cents more than a week ago, 28 cents higher than it was one month ago and 31.9 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.309 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose 1.4 cents to $3.549, after changing by one-tenth of a cent for five consecutive days. It dropped one-tenth of a cent Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday and rose one-tenth of a cent Monday.
The national average price is 1.4 cents more than one week ago, 20.3 cents higher than one month ago and 4.3 cents greater than one year ago. It has dropped $1.467 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
