Firefighters waged a brief battle with a vegetation fire in San Clemente Saturday.
The Orange County Fire Authority started getting calls around 12:20 p.m. Saturday about vegetation on fire east of Avenida La Pata and Calle Extremo, according to the OCFA.
Firefighters from the OCFA and Camp Pendleton worked on the ground and in the air and stopped the fire at just over a half-acre, fire officials said.
No structures were threatened, fire officials said. The cause was under investigation.
