The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Monday at $4.579, a day after dropping four-tenths of a cent and ending a streak of five days of decreases.

The average price has dropped 3.2 cents over the past six days, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. The streak follows a run of four increases in five days totaling 3.3 cents.

The average price is 2.2 cents less than one week ago, one-tenth of a cent lower than one month ago and $1.016 below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.915 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped for the sixth consecutive day, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $4.501. It has dropped 5.1 cents over the past six days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday. The streak follows four consecutive increases totaling 3.9 cents

The Orange County average price is 4 cents less than one week ago, seven-tenths of a cent lower than one month ago and 90 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.958 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped for the fifth consecutive day, decreasing two-tenths of a cent to $3.175. It has dropped 2.9 cents over the past five days, including six-tenths of a cent Sunday.

The national average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 3.9 cents lower than one month ago and 37.9 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.841 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
