A sleeping resident in Westminster was rescued Sunday after being awoken by flames, authorities said.
At about 5 a.m. Sunday, a person sleeping in the garage of the house on Reading Avenue woke up surrounded by fire, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Fire crews evacuated the resident and paramedics assessed for any injuries.
The fire was knocked down in under 20 minutes and no other structures were affected, the OCFA added.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
