Multiple oranges were spilled Wednesday on the Hollywood (101) Freeway in Toluca Lake, resulting in a significant traffic pile-up as the clean-up operation was underway.
Aerial footage showed at least two overturned carts on the freeway, with multiple pounds of citrus spilling onto the roadway and blocking several lanes late Wednesday afternoon.
The cause of the spill remains unclear, and the completion time for the clean-up operation was unknown.
Traffic was affected on the freeway heading into Sherman Oaks and the Hollywood (170) Freeway south of North Hollywood.
