The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped 1.4 cents Thursday to $4.778, a day after dropping 1.4 cents.
The average price is 2.7 cents less the one week ago, two-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 28.7 lower than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.715 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the 13th time in 14 days, decreasing 1.5 cents to $4.688, a day after dropping nine-tenths of a cent. It has dropped 8 cents over the past 14 days. The average price fell 10 consecutive days, was unchanged Monday and resumed dropping Tuesday.
The Orange County average price is 3.7 cents less the one week ago, 5 cents lower one month ago and 28.5 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.77 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price rose three-tenths of a cent to $3.166, ending a five-day streak of decreases, including 1.1 cents Wednesday. The average price has fallen 3 cents over the past six days.
The national average price is 2.9 cents less than one week ago and 40.8 cents lower than one week ago but six-tenths of a cent more than one month ago. It has dropped $1.85 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
