A 62-year-old man pleaded guilty Thursday and was immediately sentenced to 18 years in prison for molesting a boy and a girl in Anaheim.
Romeo Charcotano pleaded guilty to a count of continuous sexual abuse of a child and two counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a minor younger than 14, all felonies.
Charcotano admitted repeatedly sexually assaulting the boy in 2015 and the assaults on the girl in 2009, according to court records. The exact ages of the children were not disclosed.
Charcotano, who will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, was given credit for 933 days behind bars, according to court records.
Orange County District Attorney’s Office officials did not have details when contacted Thursday.
