The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County rose 2.8 cents Saturday to $4.552, one day after recording its largest increase since April 1, 3.5 cents.

The average price has risen four consecutive days, increasing 7.6 cents, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 7.3 cents more than one week ago and 7 cents more than one month ago, but two-tenths of a cent less than one year ago. The average price has dropped $1.941 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price rose 3 cents to $4.534, one day after its largest increase since April 1, 4.1 cents. It has risen three consecutive days, increasing 9.1 cents. The Orange County average price is 9.4 cents more than one week ago, 10.8 cents more than one month ago and 5.6 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.924 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price rose for the fourth consecutive day, increasing eight-tenths of a cent to $3.149. It has risen 1.9 cents over the past four days, including four-tenths of a cent Friday. The increases follow a five-day streak of decreases totaling 3 cents.

The national average price is seven-tenths of a cent more than one week ago but six-tenths of a cent less than one month ago and 22.5 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.867 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
