Riverside County Fire Department firefighters attempted to rescue three people stranded on a sandbag along the Santa Ana River Saturday.

Rescue crews, also from the Corona Fire Department and the Murrieta Fire Department, responded around 3:10 p.m. Saturday to an area near Crestmore Road and Mission Boulevard.

The three people were surrounded by moving water, but no injuries were reported.

It was unknown how they became stranded.
