The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped a half-cent Sunday to $4.424, its lowest amount since Jan. 3, 2025.
The average price is 2.8 cents less than one week ago, 24.3 cents less than one month ago and two-tenths of a cent less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $2.07 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped two-tenths of a cent to $4.31. It is 2.5 cents less than one week ago, 27.5 cents less than one month ago and 5.9 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $2.149 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $2.814, after seeing its cheapest December since the end of 2020. The national average price is 1.4 cents less than one week ago, 17.7 cents less than one month ago and 25 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $2.202 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
