A weekend of Pride celebration, community, visibility and activities will bring Coachella Valley residents to Cathedral City’s 10th annual LGBT+ Days starting Friday until Sunday throughout the city.
The festivities commenced from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday for an opening ceremony at City Hall, 68700 Avenue Lalo Guerrero.
The opening ceremony featured raising of the Pride flag by Mayor Raymond Gregory and city council, opening remarks by Gregory and a “Pro-Equality Rally.” A Pride drone show will follow from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Roost Lounge, 68718 E. Palm Canyon Drive.
The inaugural “CommUNITY Strong Walk” will be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday benefiting Human Rights Campaign. The two-mile route will start and end at The Roost Lounge. After the walk, the festival will feature food, drinks, artisan vendors and live entertainment, including the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus and Pulp Vixen, until 9 p.m.
“American Idol” alum David Archuleta will headline a concert at the community amphitheater, at 68526 Avenue Lalo Guerrero.

The festivities will conclude Sunday that will feature a vendor marketplace, a parade and bed race and a closing party at Agua Caliente Casino in Cathedral City.
