The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the 33rd time in 34 days, falling eight-tenths of a cent to $5.587, its lowest amount since March 14.

The average price has fallen 62.8 cents over the past 34 days, including 1.9 cents Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It is 17.7 cents less than one week ago and 61.3 cents less than one month ago, but 94.5 cents more than one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 38th time in 39 days, falling eight-tenths of a cent to $5.457, its lowest amount since March 13. It has dropped 69.5 cents over the past 39 days, including 2 cents Saturday. The Orange County average price is 17.2 cents less than one week ago and 70.2 cents less than one month ago, but 88.4 cents more than one year ago.

The national average price dropped for the 31st consecutive day, falling 1.3 cents to $3.938. It has fallen 62.6 cents over the past 31 days, including 2.2 cents Saturday. It is 13.6 cents less than one week ago and 62.6 cents less than one month ago, but 71.8 cents more than one year ago.
