An 11-year-old girl was among the four people killed in a five-vehicle collision in San Jacinto, the Riverside County coroner’s office reported Saturday.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of the Ramona Expressway and Seventh Street, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Dawn Blair said the vehicles collided on the expressway, but the fatalities and injuries were confined to two vehicles — a Nissan Armada SUV and a Kia Optima.
Aolani Ramirez-Muniz, 11, of Eastvale was taken to Riverside University Health Care System Medical Center but later died of her injuries, according to the coroner’s office.
Aileen Sotelo, 16, Elizabeth Muniz, 37, and Michal Tostado, 31, were pronounced dead at the scene.
All three were Hemet residents.
Blair said it is unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the wreck.
