A felon accused of possessing a revolver and a small bag of cocaine remained jailed Sunday in lieu of $75,000.
Cass Dixie, 41, was pulled over by deputies at around 6 p.m. Saturday as he was getting onto southbound Interstate 215 from Redlands Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Jose Ayala said Dixie was driving without a license and when deputies searched him, they allegedly found a loaded .38-caliber special revolver in his waistband.
Additional ammunition for the gun was allegedly found in his vehicle, along with small bindle of cocaine.
He was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, being a felon in possession of ammunition and possession of a controlled substance while armed.
