A brushfire that charred about 27 acres in Riverside Sunday was extinguished by Riverside city firefighters.
The fire near the intersection of Techquesquite Avenue and Elderwood Court at 2:40 p.m., according to the fire department.
The department sent 20 engine companies and 102 firefighters to the scene, the fire department reported.
The fire was extinguished at 7:30 p.m., the department reported.
No injuries were reported.
