A tree fire spread to a home in Riverside Saturday, sending one person to a hospital and displacing three people.
The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. in the 4800 block of Montgomery Street, according to the Riverside City Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived at the scene, they found that a palm tree fire had spread to the eve of an adjacent home, said Battalion Chief Craig Kodat.
The fire was quickly put out, limiting the damage to the home, he said.
An unresponsive person was taken to a hospital, and the American Red Cross was requested to assist three adults who were displaced by the fire.
