A boy was killed by a vehicle in the unincorporated community of Pine Cove Sunday.
The child was struck about 2:50 p.m. in the 52500 block of Sylvan Way, the California Highway Patrol reported.
An air ambulance was initially requested and paramedics on the ground performed CPR on the boy while the helicopter was en route, according to a CHP log.
However, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office was later called to the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
The age of the boy was not immediately disclosed.
