A pregnant woman was treated Monday at the scene of a three-vehicle wreck that blocked three lanes on Interstate 215 in Riverside.

The crash happened about 11:25 a.m. on the southbound I-215 at MLK Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The vehicles collided in the HOV and fast lanes, though the circumstances were unclear.

One of the vehicles became disabled in the No. 2 lane, resulting in a total of three lanes being obstructed, the CHP reported.

One of the drivers, a pregnant woman in a Honda sedan, complained of pain and was treated by Riverside Fire Department paramedics but declined to be transported to a hospital for further evaluation, according to reports from the scene.

No one else was injured.

By 11:45 a.m., one lane was open but two remained shut down by the CHP and fire department.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
