A fire broke out Friday in a single-wide mobile home in Thermal, spreading to an adjacent RV before crews got it partially contained.

The non-injury blaze erupted for unknown reasons about 11:25 a.m in the 88500 block of Avenue 66, near Fillmore Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The flames quickly extended to the RV parked nearby, at which point a second alarm was declared, and additional resources were dispatched.

By noon, crews were making progress with containment. However, the fire was still not under control.

It was unclear whether the property was occupied.
