The 60/91/215 interchange near downtown Riverside will undergo an extensive cleanup Saturday, and motorists were advised to prepare for delays.

According to Caltrans, every loop of the freeway transition hub will have sweepers and crews clearing debris between 6 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, meaning shoulder space and lanes will be temporarily closed to traffic at alternating periods.

Officials reminded drivers to slow down in the vicinity of sweeper vehicles.

“Anticipate delays and use alternative routes during these hours,” according to an agency statement.

The California Highway Patrol will monitor the interchange while the operation is underway. Unsafe driving or speeding through the work zone could lead to traffic tickets, officials said.
