A motorist was seriously injured in a collision with a tractor in Mecca Friday.
The crash was reported at 5:24 a.m. in the area of Avenue 66 and Grant Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters freed the driver of the vehicle from the wreckage, and a helicopter crew transported the person to an area hospital for treatment of injuries described as serious.
No other injured were reported, including the person at the wheel of the tractor.
California Highway Patrol officers were investigating the cause of the crash.
