A fire in the garage of a home in Beaumont Monday evening spread into the attic and displaced two adults and three children.
The fire was reported about 7:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Emily Lane, near Oak Valley Parkway, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Crews extinguished the flames in about 30 minutes and the Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents, the department said.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
