A 65-year-old Homeland man reported missing after wandering away from his residence in the predawn hours Saturday was located Monday, safe and in good health.
A search had been underway for Henry Romero Jr. for more than 24 hours when he was located just outside the Hemet city limits, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Sgt. Brandi Swan said deputies found Romero “safe and sound” while searching places possibly known to him.
Homeland is about four miles west of Hemet.
It was unknown why he left his home in the 25000 block of Echo Valley Road, near Sweet Water Lane, about 3 a.m. Saturday.
Loved ones filed the missing person report when he didn’t return Saturday night.
