A motorist was killed Tuesday in a rollover crash on Interstate 10 in Banning.
The fatality occurred about 2 p.m. on eastbound I-10 at Hargrave Street, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The circumstances behind the crash were not immediately known.
Three engine crews and a truck company were sent to the location and pronounced the driver, whose identity was not released, dead at the scene, officials said. No other vehicles were involved.
The eastbound side of the freeway remained open.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
