Multiple lanes will be shut down on Interstate 215 in Murrieta next week during overnight resurfacing operations, and motorists were cautioned to expect delays.
The first closures are scheduled Monday on southbound I-215, between Los Alamos and Murrieta Hot Springs roads.
Beginning at 8 p.m., crews will close two of three lanes to seal cracks and make similar surface repairs. The mile-long closure is slated to be lifted by 6 a.m. Tuesday, Caltrans said.
According to the agency, during the same hours Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, the No. 2 lane on the northbound side will be closed at the same location for surface improvements.
On Wednesday night, another round of repairs is slated for the southbound side of the freeway, covering the same space over the same 10-hour period, officials said.
Entrance and exit ramps in the work zone will also be shut down.
Caltrans advised motorists to consider alternate routes if they wish to avoid travel interruptions.
