A Fourth of July fireworks show that had been planned to take place at La Sierra Park in Riverside Sunday evening was canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” city officials said.
The show was scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., but according to Riverside officials, the fireworks vendor informed the city at the last minute that it “cannot uphold its obligations to the city of Riverside.”
There were no further details about what led to the cancellation.
The city said that a fireworks show planned at Ryan Bonaminio Park will still go forward at 9 p.m.
