An adult hiker who suffered a medical emergency on a trail near Idyllwild was hoisted to safety by a rescue helicopter Sunday.
The medical emergency was reported just before 1:50 p.m. on the Devil’s Slide Trail between Humber Park and Saddle Junction, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The hiker was flown to a ground ambulance by a Riverside County sheriff’s helicopter and taken to a hospital.
The hiker’s gender and condition were not disclosed.
