A man riding a skateboard on a darkened road in Perris was killed this evening by a truck.
The crash at 20221 Old Elsinore Road happened at 8:37 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man died at the scene, the CHP said. His name will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
A witness told the CHP the road was dark when the man tried to cross the street.
