A mobile home in Thermal burst into flames Friday, engulfing the structure before firefighters could contain it.
Firefighters responded at 3:40 p.m. to the scene of the single-wide mobile home engulfed in flames in the 88000 block of Avenue 57, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Seven engines were sent to the scene and were able to contain the non-injury blaze in one hour.
The Imperial Irrigation District also dispatched a crew to the scene to handle a downed power line found nearby.
No injuries were reported and the mobile home was found to be unoccupied.
Officials expect firefighters to remain at the scene for two more hours to attend to the remaining damage.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
