A three-alarm fire that erupted inside a warehouse in Moreno Valley Wednesday burned into the roof and one side of the building before it was contained.

The non-injury blaze was reported about 10:20 a.m. at BAS Recycling in the 14000 block of Day Street, just south of Alessandro Boulevard, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.

The 15 engine crews and four truck companies sent to the location encountered heavy smoke originating from the north side of the 150,000-square-foot facility, which had been safely evacuated.

Flames were concentrated in the attic and impacted machinery, according to reports from the scene.

The blaze was fully contained about 11:40 a.m. Firefighters were expected to remain at the site, mopping up, until mid-afternoon.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
