Fire erupted Wednesday at a single-story structure in Indio, but the flames were quickly knocked down and no injuries were reported.
The Riverside County Fire Department received a report of the blaze at 2:22 p.m. in the 45900 block of Sage Street.
Fire crews found smoke and fire around the exterior of an outbuilding on the property and were able to contain the flames in about 20 minutes, according to fire officials.
Crews cleared the scene at around 4:10 p.m.
The cause of the fire was under investigation. It was unclear what type of structure burned.
