The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Riverside County rose two-tenths of a cent Sunday to $4.489, its 12th increase in the last 13 days.

The average price has risen 8.5 cents over the past 13 days, including a half-cent Saturday, to its highest amount since Oct. 20, 2012, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It rose 10 consecutive days, was unchanged Friday and resumed increasing Saturday.

The average price is 2.9 cents more than one week ago, 16.9 cents higher than one month ago and $1.37 greater than one year ago.

The 2012 figure included stations in San Bernardino County.
